Dr. Alan Villanueva is a graduate of Manila Central University School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry degree. Upon graduating in 1986, Dr. Villanueva joined Sears Dental and a small group practice in Lombard, where he spent several years caring for patients. Dr. Villanueva then decided to open his own practice, which eventually expanded into what we know today as AV Dental. He is very committed to staying on the leading edge of dental technology, and often applies his knowledge by going on missions to provide care for under-privileged people in his native country, the Philippines. Dr. Villanueva’s exceptional education, extensive clinical and volunteer experience, and long-standing personal dedication to improving people’s dental health enables him to achieve not only great looking but also strong, long lasting and predictable results for each patient. Currently, Dr. Villanueva practices at our Woodridge and Naperville locations. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Villanueva enjoys basketball, motorcycling, and slot car racing.
Dr. Eddie Raghian has been practicing Periodontics in the Chicago-land area for about 12 years now. Dr. Raghian received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1996, and then went on to Northwestern University Dental School for his certificate in Periodontics, which he received in 1998. Dr. Raghian combines the unique qualities of broad clinical experience, extensive education, and a friendly personality in his professional care. Dr. Raghian provides a full range of periodontal and implant services including top level implant placement, all soft/hard tissue surgery, crown lengthening, ridge augmentation, and frenectomies. He regularly attends CE courses to keep himself at the forefront of quality laser and conventional specialty care. Dr. Raghian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and practices at our North Riverside and Naperville locations.
Dr. Paul Smulson, an experienced Oral Surgeon, specializes in all bony, partial, and soft tissue impacted third molar extractions. Additionally, he may provide surgical procedures for removal of any impacted teeth, difficult extractions, extractions on medically compromised patients, or pre-prosthetic surgery for denture placement. As a 1982 graduate of Loyola University’s Oral Surgery Program, Dr. Smulson is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care. To keep up with the latest information and techniques in the dental field, Dr. Smulson regularly attends continuing education programs. When not practicing at our Naperville office, Dr. Smulson enjoys photography, reading, and spending time with his family.
